Bryce Turner - Front Ensemble Instructor


Bryce Turner is an award-winning percussionist and music educator currently residing in Selma, TX. Bryce received both his Bachelor of Music Education and Bachelor of Percussion Performance degrees from Texas Lutheran University in 2016 where he studied with Adam Bedell and went on to receive his Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance and Literature from Baylor University in 2019 where he studied with Todd Meehan and Chris Sies. Bryce has served as a front ensemble educator for multiple Texas high school groups, including Seguin, Claudia Taylor Johnson, and New Braunfels. He continues to teach music as a free-lance private lessons instructor and currently serves as Adjunct Professor of Percussion at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. 


Bryce has performed in multiple ensemble and solo settings around the world, including the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, and the United States. He made his solo Carnegie Hall debut in 2018, was recipient of the 2018 PAS Armand Zildjian scholarship, performed at PASIC 2018 as a member of the Baylor Percussion Group, and was most recently a member of the World Percussion Group 2019 Tour. He has also performed with the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps front ensemble during their 2015 and 2016 seasons. This will be Bryce’s first year as a front ensemble instructor for Violet Crown Independent.
